While Nike’s Air Max 90 silhouette has thus far been left out of the brand’s upcoming “Just Do It” pack, the Swoosh still has plans to experiment with the implementation of all-over graphics. Much like the “JDI” collection, there will be a black and an orange pair available that come dressed in shimmering patent leather while replicating the sneaker’s Air Max logo all throughout its upper. Both the lettering and the parallelogram-like shape that houses the lettering can be seen all over the shoe, but they do not interact with each other in the manner in which they normally do on a customary pair of 90s. Another changed element on these tonal offerings is their tongues, as the usual Nike branded tag gets replaced with a simpler embroidered Swoosh design.Peep an official set of images for both Air Max 90s with all-over logos below and expect them to arrive on Nike.com sometime this fall. Nike’s propensity for putting new twists on classic color schemes with the Air Max 97 Ultra ’17 continues, as the modernized take on a beloved Air Max silhouette has arrived in an interesting volt/mica green colorway that offers slight shades of the “Neon” Air Max 95. The textile upper blends the two shades of green—one bright and one dark—together in a unique fashion that’s equal parts vibrant and subtle. The modernized version of the 97’s iconic flowing stripes arrive in a stately grey, while further grey detailing arrives on the tongue and laces. Small volt yellow hits of branding appear on the tongue badge and heel tab, and the shoe’s look is completed with a grey midsole, volt Air Max unit, and a speckled grey outsole. These interesting Air Max 97 Ultra ’17s are available now at Foot Locker for $160. Russell Westbrook is a unique player. A unique player of his caliber deserves a unique sneaker to match, and Jordan Brand provided Westbrook with just that when they released his signature Why Not Zer0.1. Much like Westbrook himself, the shoe provoked strong opinions from hoops fans the world over and now an upd ated low-top take on the silhouette is set to release early this July.The Why Not Zer0.1 Low features the same forefoot shroud, toggle-centric lacing system and unique heel design as the original high-top version, but with a slightly lower collar—more a mid than a true low top— and no ankle strap for extra flexibility and range of motion. The shoe has arrived in a simple black on black color scheme, with a white underlay on the forefoot shroud poking through for a small pop of contrast. Wesbrook branding arrives on the tongue, and Jordan logo hits adorn the forefoot, heel, and lateral side of the collar.
